Bye Radon is expanding in Calgary, and we’re hiring a mechanically skilled, tool-proficient installer who is ready to move quickly into a full Radon Mitigator role. This is not an entry-level labour position. We’re looking for someone with real construction or mechanical experience who can step into a fast-paced, technical trade and advance quickly.

Compensation
Most candidates with strong tool and construction backgrounds progress to a full mitigator role within the first 3 months.
Additional earning potential
Beyond base daily rates, team members have access to performance-based earnings, which may include double-day installations (two daily rates in one day), solo-day premiums, Red Seal top-up rates, annual bonuses, and periodic team competitions. We also offer incentives for exceptional workmanship, HEPA HERO installs, and other programs introduced through the year. Our top performers regularly exceed the typical annual range.

What You’ll Do
- Perform radon mitigation installations in residential and light commercial settings
- Drill through concrete slabs, rim joists, and foundations
- Run PVC piping, mount fans, seal penetrations, and complete full system builds
- Use power tools confidently and safely (hammer drills, impacts, saws, vacuums, etc.)
- Diagnose suction points, airflow, and system performance
- Maintain clean, safe, professional job sites
- Communicate respectfully and professionally with homeowners
- Work independently once trained, with full support from our operations team
Who We’re Looking For (Strict Requirements)
Strong tool experience
You must be confident with hammer drills, impacts/drivers, saws, concrete drilling or coring, and general construction tools.
Mechanical or construction background
For example: HVAC, plumbing, carpentry, concrete work, renovations, or other mechanical trades.
Physical aptitude
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable on ladders
- Able to work in basements, crawlspaces (tight spaces), and outdoors
Attitude & teamwork
Formal education isn’t required, just a can-do spirit and dedication to learning, plus strong communication and collaboration skills.
Reliable transportation
While training, a personal vehicle to travel to job sites is essential. Once all criteria for certification are met, a company truck will be provided.
Safety-minded, professional, and customer facing
This role requires entering clients’ homes and representing our company directly. You must be a clear, confident communicator; personable and respectful with homeowners; able to explain what you’re doing in simple, professional terms; someone who maintains a clean appearance and professional conduct; and fully aligned with our zero-tolerance policy for substance use on job sites.
If you do not have real tool experience, a construction/mechanical background, or the ability to communicate professionally with clients, this role is not a fit.
Key Details
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, day shifts (weekends available if desired)
- Typical shifts: start 8:30 AM, finishing between 12:30 PM and 3:30 PM
- Location: Calgary, AB and surrounding areas — in person, on the road
- Pay: from $180.00 per day
